Be sensitive to leading of the Holy Spirit

.. So Eli said to Samuel, Go, lie down. And if He calls you, you shall say, Speak, Lord, for Your servant is listening .. (‭‭1 Samuel‬ ‭3‬:‭9‬ ‭AMPC‬‬)

In these final days it is a matter of life and death that we are led by the Spirit of God. God’s word declares to you personally that “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.” (‭‭Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭14‬).

Jesus is the Good Shepherd, and we are His flock! We know His voice, and we do not follow the voice of a stranger (John 10:4-5). What an awesome privilege: to follow His voice, and to be led by His Spirit!

In the Book of Acts Paul was on a mission to reach the known world with the gospel of Christ. There is no greater mission than the proclamation of the good news. While on this mission in Acts 16, Holy Spirit gave Apostle Paul directions not to go to a certain place at that time. Acts 16:6 says “And Paul and Silas passed through the territory of Phrygia and Galatia, having been forbidden by the Holy Spirit to proclaim the Word in [the province of] Asia.”

Certainly preaching is in the will of God? Yes!
Certainly fulfilling God’s calling is in His will? Yes!

However, we must be under the guidance of the precious Spirit of God on a daily basis!

I challenge you to be sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit. Make a choice to turn down opinions of others, political news, radio stations and television shows. Tell your heavenly Father: “Speak, Lord, for Your servant is listening”.
