Holy and beautiful
“O worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness: fear before him, all the earth.” Psalms 96:9 KJV
We as believers were crucified with Christ, buried with Him, and were raised from the dead. Now Christ lives in us, we walk in the newness of life, and have been raised up together to sit in heavenly places in Him! (Gal. 2:20, Rom. 6:4, Eph. 2:6)
Our life is hidden in Him, and we live a life of holiness unto God. He has given us a new heart, and now we keep our flesh crucified, and the old life buried. Lifting holy hands (1. Tim. 2:8) and having a pure heart (Psalms 24:4).
God is Holy – we are called to be as He is. The Word of God instructs us to be holy, as He is holy (1. Peter 1:16).
Our bodies are the temples of God (1. Cor. 6:19); Called to be beautiful, set apart for Him. Away from the world, and holy unto God!
Say this out loud:
“I’m beautiful and holy! Dedicated for the Lord!”
Reasons why many struggle in this area
A) Giving room to the flesh – whatever you feed; grows in your life. What you sow into you will reap a harvest.
“Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.” Romans 6:13 KJV
– The more you give room for the flesh, the more it will take ground.
B) Wrong thinking/teaching on some vital issues of life
Issues such as “Who am I?”, “My standing with God”, “What’s possible to me?” and “What are my responsibilities?”
The vision for your personal life is important, you know by the Word of God what He wills for your life is, and your assignment!
C) Yielding to the flesh and not knowing the will of God will result in wrong habits, attitudes, words and actions. This will produce a life without victory with constant failings and problems. But yielding to the Holy Spirit, obeying the Word of God and walking by faith in love will produce a life of victory, honor, love, results and blessings!
Waiting for His return: Staying ready
As on a wedding day the bride is clothed in a spotless, beautiful white dress, so are we to keep our hearts, hands and clothing clean waiting for His coming! No bride wants to have a dirty dress, it would be embarrassing! Same way, our desire is to be ready for the Lord’s return.
“Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.” Matthew 24:44 KJV
Declare this over your life:
From this day forward! I’m set apart from this world! I am holy unto God!
