“The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.” 1 Corinthians 15:26 KJV
God created us to live, death came only when sin and Satan happened.
- Each person will one day pass from this life into the next
- Death is an enemy.
- Jesus conquered death.
- We can prepare for death, making us fearless, so live a victorious life full of joy, peace and power!
- Our passing from this life to the next, being children of God, will be a victorious moment!
Only the Bible gives the truth about death and life hereafter!
“And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:” Hebrews 9:27 KJV
- Each person will go from this life in the flesh into the next!
- There is no re-incarnation, only one life!
- You can’t change your destination after you move on to the necx! Make sure you get it correct beforehand! (Luke 16:19-31)
From death to life
When we are born again, we come from death into life (1. John 3:14) and as a result of this we love our brothers and sisters.
The enemy had power over death, Jesus through His death destroyed the enemy’s power (Heb. 2:14-15) and delivered us from tormenting fear of death.
“Since, therefore, [these His] children share in flesh and blood [in the physical nature of human beings], He [Himself] in a similar manner partook of the same [nature], that by [going through] death He might bring to nought and make of no effect him who had the power of death–that is, the devil– And also that He might deliver and completely set free all those who through the [haunting] fear of death were held in bondage throughout the whole course of their lives.” Hebrews 2:14-15 AMPC
We are free from fear!
We are free from fear of death!
Jesus abolished death. Through the gospel He brought life and immortality. (2. Tim. 1:10)
“[It is that purpose and grace] which He now has made known and has fully disclosed and made real [to us] through the appearing of our Savior Christ Jesus, Who annulled death and made it of no effect and brought life and immortality (immunity from eternal death) to light through the Gospel.” 2 Timothy 1:10 AMPC
One source for LIFE: Jesus!
“He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.” 1 John 5:12 KJV
“Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.” Romans 6:4 KJV
This new life is not from being baptism of water, but by the spiritual baptism as we are born again.
The Word of God brings a beautiful insight to the crossing over from this life to the next:
“For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. But if I live in the flesh, this is the fruit of my labour: yet what I shall choose I wot not. For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better: Nevertheless to abide in the flesh is more needful for you. And having this confidence, I know that I shall abide and continue with you all for your furtherance and joy of faith; That your rejoicing may be more abundant in Jesus Christ for me by my coming to you again.” Philippians 1:21-26 KJV
It would have been far better for Paul to move on, but for the work of God, we can see how it was better that he stayed!
In Him we have LIFE!
“Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?” John 11:25-26 KJV
In the midst of despair, Jesus said these words before raising up Lazarus! He is the resurrection life now! When we believe, we have it!
The End
Death will be cast into the lake of fire, death has an end. (Rev. 20:14)
By the blood of the lamb, through repentance and faith in Christ, we are saved, and one day there “shall be no more death”. (Rev. 21:4)
“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.” Revelation 21:4 KJV
While we are in this body, we have this enemy. Soon this enemy will be no more, so there will be no death.
We can live free from fear of death now! Jesus has overcame! Life is in Him, He gave us this life!
Where will you spend eternity?
- The Bible shows us only 2 destinations; heaven and hell.
- Jesus spoke frequently about hell, it is a real place. As is heaven. Take the words of Jesus seriously!

- Faithful unto death (Rev. 2:10)
- He that overcometh will not be hurt by second death. (Rev. 2:11)
- Sin brings forth death. (James 1:15)
- Enoch did not see death. (Heb 11:5)
Jesus holds the keys:
“I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.” Revelation 1:18 KJV
Jesus was obedient, and humble unto death on the cross. (Phil. 2:8)
“So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.” 1 Corinthians 15:54 KJV
“For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.” 1 Corinthians 15:22 KJV
“But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.” 1 Thessalonians 4:13 KJV
