Luke chapter 24
At the cross we surrender ..
.. in resurrection we rise to victory.
“No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.” Romans 8:37 (NLT
God’s plan was to…
- Bring salvation at the cross, through repentance
- The Holy Ghost at pentecost
God brought us new life in Christ, and by filling us with the Holy Ghost, it activates the resurrection power to work in us, and through us.
Jesus’ disciples became the first witnesses of the resurrection, and the resurrection power.
“Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.” Acts 2:38-39 KJV
He is alive today.
His power is the same, as it was that morning.
“But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.” Romans 8:11 KJV
