Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?

Pastor Rowena Manalang

”Don’t be drunk with wine, because that will ruin your life. Instead, be filled with the Holy Spirit,“ Ephesians 5:18

Being filled means implies allowing the Holy Spirit to have control – empowering believers to live according to God’s will that leads to a transformed and changed life.

The Promise of the Holy Spirit

”Once when he was eating with them, he commanded them, “Do not leave Jerusalem until the Father sends you the gift he promised, as I told you before. John baptized with water, but in just a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.”

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Acts 1:4, 8

Acts 2 The Day of Pentecost

The day of Pentecost in the book of Acts is when the church was birthed in great power, in the fire of God. In Acts 2:4, all were filled with the Holy Spirit.

  • There was a sound like a mighty rushing wind that filled the house
  • A flame or tongues of fire appeared and settled on each of them.
  • Every flame for every name, rests on each believer.
  • Everyone present was filled with the Holy Spirit and began speaking in tongues

God sent His only Son, Jesus. He saved us, redeemed us from sin, bondage, addiction, death, poverty and gave us abundant life. He came to fill you with the Holy Ghost so that He could accomplish His purpose in your life.

The Holy Spirit and fire is available for every child of God, and He wants to set you ablaze – that the fire is burning on the inside of you, moving you forward.

When the fire touches you, it moves you!

The fire of God will cleanse and purify you from the inside out, burning everything that is not of Him. You will be changed and transformed to what God has called you to be.

For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward Him.” 2 Chronicles 16:9

Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. Matthew 5:6

Within the spirit of every born-again believer, there is divine hunger. A hunger that cannot be satisfied by the things of the world or by religion.

The world is looking for something real. We are His hands, feet and His mouthpiece to proclaim the Gospel.

You must have your own pentecost experience. Desire for it! We must have our personal flame that never dies out but always keeps on burning so we can bring that light to the lost world.
